Industrial / Commercial Buildings
These buildings are mainly used for business purposes. Their metal framework creates big openings. The metal construction is industrially produced, therefore the completion of the construction only needs a short period of time. As for the exterior covering, there are several options, while polyurethane panels are the most common.
Residences
The construction of residences or office buildings and stores using a metal framework has formed a constantly growing market over the last years.
The advantages of steel compared to concrete are:
- Fast construction.
- Lower social security stamps costs, due to a sheltered jo.
- Controlled quality, as the construction takes place in a factory.
- Earthquake protection due to lower weight, compared to a relevant concrete building.
- Lighter foundation due to lighter superstructure.
- Lower cost as the building's height increases
Together with the construction of the metal framework and the structural design, METERGO undertakes the total construction of a residence, from the building permit's issue to the interior arrangement.
Composite constructions
These are structures based on the combination of a metal framework and reinforced concrete. They are used in mezzanine construction and also in the construction of multi-storey buildings, where the slab is made of concrete and is combined with metal beams. The slab and the metal beams are linked with the use of shear studs. The slab can be constructed through injection of concrete in a shuttering or with the placement of a static sheet metal on which the injection is made without the use of shutterings.
Special metal constructions
This category includes metal constructions which cannot be placed in any of the above categories.

Bridge cranes
They are used for lifting and carrying loads. They are divided into the ones for internal and those for external use (pylons). METERGO has the expertise to construct heavy duty pylons, which are used by marble industry (25~32tn). The German companies SWF, KULI and DEMAG are our equipment suppliers.

Construction permits
METERGO undertakes both building authorization and building permits issues, as prescribed in the new legislation. METERGO's technical team carries out designs of high technical and aesthetic demands in a short period of time.
Structural designs
For the structural analysis of the metal constructions, METERGO uses the INSTANT program. Due to our multi-annual experience in metal constructions, we are able to offer solutions that are not only safe but also economic, making the best use of the material. Our clients are both design and construction companies.
Production designs
The gradual expansion of metal constructions with the use of CNC cutting-drilling machines, makes the use of compatible specialised design programmes a necessity. METERGO uses TEKLA and STRUCAD, two design programmes that are specialised in the industrial production of metal constructions.
